Egg Drop Soup is an inyourface, unapologetic, all-womxn punk trio based in Los Angeles. No-holds-barred feminism + furious guitar riffs, heavy low-end bass lines, and badass drum beats combine to fuel the sounds of them preparing for the end of the patriarchy. Their fiery brand of thrash punk-meets-metal-meets-doom-meets-surfy grunge makes way for unpredictable, intriguing, and entrancing songs that leave captive audiences wanting more (and perhaps wondering what just happened). These womxn are not f*cking around! EDS is Bailey Chapman (drums), Olivia Saperstein (vocals, guitar), & Samantha Westervelt (lead vocals, bass).
Janelane is the music project of Los Angeles-born singer and songwriter, Sophie Negrini. Her contrasting blend of pop hooks and shimmery guitars with wistful, melancholic lyrics is romantic, nostalgic, and incredibly addictive. Negrini began writing songs at age 12, and grew captivated with the jangle pop rock gems of Big Star, the Carpenters, ABBA, and The Muffs in her early teens. Her bedroom undertones and affinity for intricate harmonies are heavily influenced by Dear Nora, that dog., and Mirah. Peaches and Cream, Janelane’s first official EP, was released on Bandcamp and cassette via Danger Collective Records in 2015.
After a 3 year stint touring across Europe, Japan, and America playing lead guitar in the punk rock band, Peach Kelli Pop, Negrini shifted her focus to Janelane completely, and began recording a plethora of new music. In April 2020, she released the moody, black and white music video for the heartbreak ballad, “14 Days”. The fuzzy, homemade, PBS-esque video for tearjerker, “Flowers from Athens”, was released in October 2020.
In March 2021, Negrini released the first ever Janelane vinyl record, a 7" for her latest single, "Celebrity Crush", via Kingfisher Bluez.
